BEC Test offers a variety of specialized testing for every part of the building envelope and system. We can verify integrity and performance, identify trouble spots, evaluate efficiency, and recommend ways to save money through repairs, improvements, and predictive maintenance programs.

Electrical Testing

BEC Test engineers have years of experience with motors, controls, and power distribution. We are very familiar with older manufacturing facilities and the electrical systems that have evolved within them.

We always comply with NFPA 70 National Electrical Code, NFPA 70E Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace, and National Electrical Safety Code C2 on the utility side. We are continually training on OSHA regulations, LOTO, Arc Flash, High Voltage, and Haz Loc.

Testing of Electric Motors and Transformers

Tests are performed using Motor Circuit Analysis, and testing of energized motors and rotating equipment using Electronic Signature Analysis. Contact us for one-time troubleshooting or a money saving predictive maintenance program that we can set up.

We follow the principles of NFPA 70B, Recommended Practice for Electrical Equipment Maintenance.

Infrared Surveys

BEC is Level III Infrared certified for surveying rotating equipment, electrical system and power distribution health. We can identify  trouble spots or pending equipment breakdowns as well as track long term health.

We follow Electric Power Research Institute TR-107142, Infrared Thermography Field Application Guide.

Power Quality and Energy Analysis

We can track energy usage and solve intermittent electrical system behavior with power logging capabilities. Reduction in energy costs can be realized by finding and correcting energy waste through power quality measurement and power factor correction strategies.
